ADAM WEERS, Real Estate Executive, Developer, & Investor
Adam Weers, Trustee, joined the Board in 2020 and currently sits on the Investment and Audit Committees. He is a real estate professional with more than 20 years of experience in large-scale commercial development, investment, operations, and enterprise transformation. He has held C-suite leadership roles at Trammell Crow Company (TCC) and CBRE (NYSE: CBRE), the world’s largest real estate services firm.
From 2023 to 2026, Weersheld multiple executive roles at CBRE, including Chief Transformation Officer, where he led cost management and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. During this period, he oversaw a global organization of up to approximately 3,300 employees and led major cost reduction programs that generated more than $500 million in recurring annual savings. In addition, Weers led CBRE’s global Corporate Procurement and Corporate Real Estate functions, managing more than $3 billion in annual corporate spend and over $100 million in annual capital investment across CBRE’s 6.2 million square foot internal office portfolio.
Prior to these roles, Weers spent 18 years at CBRE’s real estate development subsidiary, Trammell Crow Company, the largest commercial developer in the United States. From 2020 to 2023, he served as Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he oversaw all corporate functions and administered the firm’s Investment Committee and Executive Committee processes. Earlier, as a Principal in TCC’s MidAtlantic Business Unit, Weers led the development of several billion dollars in commercial projects and oversaw the firm’s New Markets Tax Credit platform, deploying more than $750 million nationwide.
Weers began his career as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche in Atlanta and currently serves as a Trustee of the DC Retirement Board, a $14 billion public pension fund, where he has chaired the Investment Committee since 2021.
Weers holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA in Financial Accounting from Georgia State University, and a BA in Business Administration and Accounting from Morehouse College.
