Claire Balcerzak joined NHP Foundation in 2022 as an asset manager and has over 15 years of asset management and equity underwriting experience in community development. She has previously worked in equity investing in real estate which creates positive outcomes for underserved communities. These properties have created new affordable housing, preservation of historic properties, and innovative commercial real estate endeavors with both for-profit and non-profit partners.
Following her equity underwriting, she worked in asset management representing institutional investors by overseeing performance of a portfolio of affordable and mixed income multifamily properties, as well as mixed-used properties. These partnerships and assets were located throughout the US and represent a mix of both rural, suburban, and urban communities. She maintains a strong interest in real estate sustainability and policy, particularly in urban centers where she has worked to promote sustainable real estate policy and benefits for many stakeholders.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in Urban Studies and Business Administration
