One Paycheck Away from Homelessness:
Building Popular Support for Affordable Housing

Wednesday, October 19, 2022
Union Station, Washington, DC
4:00–9:30 PM

The pandemic, natural disasters, political strife, and increased violence against those experiencing homelessness create an even more dangerous period for the unhoused. At NHPF, we interact daily with residents living one paycheck away from homelessness and know how important it is to fundraise directly for this cause. Is it a pipe dream to imagine a country where public and private sectors muster unprecedented popular support for service-enriched affordable housing that changes lives and prevents a precarious existence for the most vulnerable among us?

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS

Proceeds of the event will benefit NHPF’s resident services subsidiary Operation Pathways. NHPF preserves and creates sustainable, affordable multifamily housing, and scattered-site communities where residents can access Operation Pathways’ onsite health and wellness, education, and financial stability programming via its unique Family-Centered Coaching principles. Residents of housing who harness the powers of these principles are a true demonstration that where, and how, you live matter.

We are grateful to our sponsors and attendees. In this most difficult of years, you have chosen to embrace NHPF’s mission of providing pathways that residents can follow up and out of poverty. We hope you will join us as we continue to foster strong relationships essential to the success of our valuable work.
