Charu Singh, Trustee joined the NHPF Board in 2021. Ms. Singh is CEO and Founder, Just Value Inc., which uses AI-powered analytics and equitable lending to eradicate systemic undervaluation of homes in US communities of color and help BIPOC homeowners build wealth fairly.
She was formerly the Managing Director of Portfolio Management at Emergent Capital Partners, a private equity real estate firm where she led investment strategy and portfolio creation efforts across the firm’s portfolios, helping scale Emergent’s Southeast Asia business from start-up to an institutional-grade investment platform. Prior to Emergent, Ms. Singh served as Assistant Vice President at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where she structured catalytic public-private real estate transactions and led planning efforts to foster economic growth and sustainable, impactful projects. Previously, Ms. Singh worked in the nonprofit sector advancing environmental justice and equitable food systems.
Ms. Singh earned a B.A. in Political Science and International Development from McGill University and a M.Sc. in Real Estate Development and a Master of City Planning from MIT.
