Robert Jefferson joined NHPF in 2022 and oversees development activities, including feasibility analysis, pre-development coordination, deal negotiations, and project management through construction. With over a decade of experience in affordable housing, he has led teams in acquiring, developing, and refinancing multifamily assets through public-private partnerships, securing over $250 million in debt and equity funding.
Previously, Jefferson served as Chief Real Estate Officer at IMPACCT Brooklyn, where he built development teams and structured LIHTC, Historic, and Brownfield tax credit projects. He also held leadership roles at Bridgestreet Development Corporation and founded Obsidian Tower Holdings, LLC, a private equity firm focused on market-rate and workforce housing.
Jefferson’s background includes managing P&Ls for Fortune 500 companies such as American Express, Procter & Gamble, and Walt Disney. He holds an MBA in Real Estate Development from UNC Chapel Hill and a BA in Accounting from Hampton University. A 2016 graduate of the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP), he is a CALIBR member, a Council of Urban Real Estate member, and Vice Chair of the Board for Babies and Mothers Alive (BAMA).
