Built in 1952, Maxwell House Apartments in downtown Augusta, Georgia is The NHP Foundation’s first foray into the Peach State! We are proud to preserve this vital affordable housing resource for future generations. With a total of 216 units mixed between studio and one-bedroom apartments, this 10-story all brick building is on the Federal Register for historic places. The property last underwent a minor rehabilitation in 2005 using Historic Tax Credits and Tax Exempt Bonds from the Augusta Housing Authority.
